Forward Movement Inc. is a social business enterprise, modeled after the concept presented by the Noble Laureate Muhammad Yunus in his book titled, "Social Business." Its mission is to lift the poor and the vulnerable people from poverty to self-reliance.
Forward Movement was established in 2010 in Houston and was registered with the Texas Secretary of State. It is not a donation seeking tax-deductible charity, nor a social welfare organization or trust, dependent on grants and endowments. It is funded entirely by the founder Syed Ahmed and his family. We accepts no donations, grants, or outside support of any kind.
We are blessed to have touched the lives of more than 4,900 vulnerable people in beneficial ways. We have participated in 2,850 projects in seventy-four countries to lift poor and vulnerable people to self-sufficiency.
